In the end I couldn't go past these stunning cheese platters slumped from old wine bottles. A number of different sellers have these in stock right now including MitchellGlassworks, dpholkdesigns, milemarker3, prosparkstudios and PJsGlassCreations, ranging from $15 - $25 USD.. Nothing locally as yet, but here's to hoping my dad will crack the market! |
My dad, who happens to be quite a talented glass fuser and slumper in his spare time, has recently moved up to Darwin for work and purchased a new home... I was keen to send a house warming present up that was useful, environmentally friendly, and encouraged him not to overlook his creative pursuits in his new environment... Of course, I turned straight to Etsy and was overwhelmed by some of the ingenuity of the artists.
